		<description>Yeah, surely the decline of manufacturing was about having a really strong pound after 1996.   And a long term secular movement that only Germany has bucked - and which Germany this year demonstrated is not some sort of safe haven from instability, but reaps its consequences from the whole world over. 

It is classic taxi driver, Speccie stuff.   Wish I had got onto that post earlier, but I don&#039;t subscribe to them . . .</description>
